ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus death toll in Pakistan reached to 2,000 figure as 1,197 fatalities were reported n Tuesday morning. The tally of confirmed infections in the country were reported as 57,705 nation-wide.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), has confirmed that 1,356 new infections of the COVID-19 during last 24 hours across the country.
Sindh remained worst-hit province by the coronavirus as it has crossed the toll of 22,934 confirmed cases the highest number along with 369 fatalities, followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 490,908 coronavirus tests and 7,252 in last 24 hours. 18,314 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas many are in critical condition. Patients are under treatment at quarantine centers of 462 hospitals where 7,295 beds are available.
According to latest figure given on National Coronavirus Dashboard of NCOC on May 26, Tuesday 10:20am, the province-wise break up after confirming the toll of 57,705 infections. Sindh jumped to 22,934 toll of coronavirus cases followed by Punjab with 20,654 infections of the COVID-19 pandemic. The infections confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have reached to 8,080, in Balochistan toll surged to 3,468, Gilgit-Baltistan reached to the toll of 630 infections, Islamabad Capital Territory reached to 1,728 and 211 infection reported in Azad Jammu Kashmir.
The figure given by Coronavirus Dashboard in its province-wise break up regarding the total 1,197 deaths reported in the country. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is on top of the fatalities list with 408 deaths while Sindh at number 2 with 369 deaths, Punjab stands with 352 fatalities, Balochistan 41, Gilgit-Baltisan 8, Islamabad Capital Territory 17 and AJK 2.
