ISLAMABAD: New Coronavirus second wave continue to cuase dent as during last 24 hours it claimed 54 more lives across Pakistan while 2,363 more people were tested positive to COVID-19.
Pakistan reported 2,363 new infections of coronavirus epidemic during last 24 hours while 54 new deaths have been confirmed. With 2,363 new infections reported in the country that took the toll to 527,146 cases and with 54 new deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 11,157.
According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 54 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 2,363 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Sindh with 238,470 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
So far across the country 238,470 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 151,603 in Punjab 64,373 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 40,430 in Islamabad, 18,670 in Balochistan, 8,706 in Azad Kashmir and 4,894 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 11,157 out of that 4,501 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,843 in Sindh, 1,811 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 460 in Islamabad, 248 in Azad Kashmir, 192 in Balochistan, and 102 in Gilgit Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 7,525,432 coronavirus tests and 43,744 in the last 24 hours. 480,696 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,324 patients are in critical condition.
