ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus pandemic continuous to show downward trend in Pakistan with 7 deaths reported in the last 24 hours. Another 288 more people were tested contracting the virus.
According to the latest figures shared by National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), during last 24 hours 288 more people have been contracted by the virus which took the overall toll to 1,289,049. After seven more people have lost their lives to deadly virus the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 28,830 on Sunday morning.
According to reportes confirmed by NCOC regarding the province-wise situation of the virus, Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The reportes confirmed by the NCOC have shown that death toll across Pakistan have reached to 28,830 mark out of which 13,051 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,636 in Sindh 5,889 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 962 in Islamabad, 743 in Azad Kashmir, 363 in Balochistan, and 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Accordingly the overall toll of the positive cases of COVID-19 surged to 1,289,049, out of which 477,869 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 443,839 in Punjab 180,661 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 108,117 in Islamabad, 34,606 in Azad Kashmir 33,531 in Balochistan and 10,426 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 22,525,190 coronavirus tests and 46,006 in the last 24 hours. 1,251,101 patients have recovered in the country whereas 740 patients are in critical condition.
The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 0.62 per cent.
So far, 84,243,233 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 563,378 in last 24 hours. 56,119,999 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 815,236 received their second dose in last 24 hours.
The number of total administered doses has reached to 132,638,510 with 1,327,413 in the last 24 hours.
