ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus second wave claimed 45 more lives while 2,417 people were tested positive nationwide during last 24 hours.
in Friday 2,417 new coronavirus epidemic infections were reported across Pakistan during last 24 hours across the country while 45 new deaths have been confirmed. With 2,417 new infections reported in the country the toll surged to 514,338 cases and with 45 more deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 10,863 deaths.
According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 45 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 2,417 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Sindh with 231,953 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
So far 231,953 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 147,953 in Punjab, 62,719 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 18,515 in Balochistan, 39,749 in Islamabad, 8,567 in Azad Kashmir and 4,882 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Countrywide tally of fatalities remains 10,863 out of that 4,370 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 3,755 in Sindh, 1,762 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 189 in Balochistan, 449 in Islamabad, 237 in Azad Kashmir and 101 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 7,284,009 coronavirus tests and 40,359 in the last 24 hours. 469,306 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,294 patients are in critical condition.
