Coronavirus Second Wave: Claims 71 more lives, 2,463 cases reported in 24 hrs

ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus second wave is taking toll to Pakistan and rest of the world and continuous flactuation in daily deaths and infection are alarming for people.
Another threat Pakistan along with world is facing Coronavirus Variant, which emerged from Britain and so many countried in Europe have reported this new verson of the disease. According to National Command and Operation
Center (NCOC) reports the affectees of Coronavirus Variant have been tested positive in Karachi among people coming from Britain.
During last 24 hours Pakistan reported 71 new deaths nationwide and 2,463 people were tested positive for COVID-19.
2,463 new coronavirus epidemic infections were reported in last 24 hours and 71 new deaths have been confirmed. With 2,463 new infections reported in the country the toll surged to 482,178 cases and with 71 more deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 10,176 deaths on Friday.
According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the NCOC, the NCOC on Friday confirmed the death of 71 more people during last 24 hours besies reported that 2,463 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Sindh with 215,679 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
So far 215,679 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 138,608 in Punjab, 58,701 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 18,168 in Balochistan, 37,888 in Islamabad, 8,277 in Azad Kashmir and 4,857 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 10,176 out of that 4,042 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 3,560 in Sindh, 1,649 in khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 183 in Balochistan, 419 in Islamabad, 222 in Azad Kashmir and 101 in Gilgit Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 6,737,107 coronavirus tests and 41,039 in the last 24 hours. 437,229 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,216 patients are in critical condition.
