Coronavirus Second Wave: claims 73 more lives in 24 hours, infects 2,459

ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus Second Wave is continue in Pakistan and taking toll very high and during last 24 hours the virus claimed 73 more lives, besides 2,459 people were tested positive.
Government and its institution responsible for COVID-19  control are constantly appealing people to adopt the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to curtail the spread of the killer virus.
With 73 new deaths reported during last 24 hours the nationwide toll jumped to 8,905 fatalities, while 2,459 new infections reported the toll surged to 443,246 on Tuesday.
According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 73 more people during last 24 hours besies reported that 2,459 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Sindh with 196,962 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
Till now 196,962 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 128,138 in Punjab 52,787 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 35,045 in Islamabad, 17,771 in Balochistan, 7,750 in Azad Kashmir and 4,793 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 8,905 out of that 3,422 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,164 in Sindh, 1,477 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 377 in Islamabad, 191 in Azad Kashmir, 175 in Balochistan, and 99 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 6,098,771 coronavirus tests and 34,551 in the last 24 hours. 386,333 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,456 patients are in critical condition.
