ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus second wave is still continue and taking toll of lives as during last 24 hours it claimed 45 more lives while 2,432 people were tested positive nationwide.

Across the Pakistan the Coronavirus pandemic toll of new infections surged to 2,432 new coronavirus epidemic during last 24 hours while 45 new deaths have been confirmed. With 2,432 new infections reported in the country the toll surged to 516,770 cases and with 45 more deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 10,908 deaths.

According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 45 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 2,432 persons tested positive for COVID-19.

Sindh with 233,396 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.

So far 233,396 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 148,488 in Punjab 62,996 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 39,888 in Islamabad, 18,537 in Balochistan, 8,583 in Azad Kashmir and 4,882 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 10,908 out of that 4,387 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,769 in Sindh, 1,773 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 450 in Islamabad, 238 in Azad Kashmir, 190 in Balochistan, and 101 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 7,326,431 coronavirus tests and 42,422 in the last 24 hours. 472,099 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,334 patients are in critical condition.
