ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus Second Wave in continue and Pakistan for the first time in over a month reported COVID-19 cases below 2,000 in over a month. 62 new deaths were reported during last 24 hours.
New coronavirus cases reported 1,792 in 24 hours and 62 new deaths reported on Monday, while with 1,792 new infections reported in the country the toll surged to 458,968 cases and with 62 new deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 9,392 deaths.
Federal Government in order to control the coronavirus pandemic is constantly appealing people to adopt the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to curtail the spread of the killer virus.
According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC on Monday confirmed the death of 62 more people during last 24 hours besies reported that 1,792 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Sindh with 204,480 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
Till date 204,840 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 131,933 in Punjab 55,183 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 36,257 in Islamabad, 17,926 in Balochistan, 8,002 in Azad Kashmir and 4,827 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 9,392 out of that 3,638 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,333 in Sindh, 1,546 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 391 in Islamabad, 206 in Azad Kashmir, 179 in Balochistan, and 99 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 6,336,113 coronavirus tests and 34,772 in the last 24 hours. 409,085 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,403 patients are in critical condition.
