ISLAMABAD: The Coronavirus Second Wave is continue and since November last Pakistan has reported lowest number of infection with 1,594 cases with 48 new deaths duing last 24 hours.
During last 24 hours 48 more people have lost lives to COVID-19 and 1,594 more people were tested positive to the virus.
Nationwide infections toll reported on Sunday was 1,594 to coronavirus epidemic besides 48 more deaths were confirmed. With 1,594 new infections reported in the country that took the toll to 532,412 cases and with 48 new deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 11,295.
According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 48 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 1,594 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Sindh with 240,570 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
So far across the country 240,570 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 153,410 in Punjab 65,287 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 40,713 in Islamabad, 18,736 in Balochistan, 8,795 in Azad Kashmir and 4,901 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 11,25 out of that 4,561 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,888 in Sindh, 1,832 in Khyber Pakhtunhwa, 465 in Islamabad, 254 in Azad Kashmir, 193 in Balochistan, and 102 in Gilgit Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 7,642,665 coronavirus tests and 40,285 in the last 24 hours. 486,489 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,070 patients are in critical condition.
