Coronavirus Second Wave; Virus claims 47 more lives, 1,745 people tested positive in 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: The Coronavirus Second Wave is continue to take more lives of people around the Pakistan as during last 24 hours 47 more people havelost lives to virus while 1,745 more people were tested positive to COVID-19.

Nationwide infections reported on Friday jumped to 1,745 to coronavirus epidemic besides 47 more deaths were confirmed. With 1,745 new infections reported in the country that took the toll to 528,891 cases and with 47 new deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 11,204.

According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 47 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 1,745 persons tested positive for COVID-19.

Sindh with 239,186 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.

So far across the country 239,186 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 152,158 in Punjab, 64,651 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 18,696 in Balochistan, 40,548 in Islamabad, 8,753 in Azad Kashmir and 4,899 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 11,204 out of that 4,523 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 3,855 in Sindh, 1,823 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 192 in Balochistan, 461 in Islamabad, 248 in Azad Kashmir and 102 in Gilgit Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 7,561,977 coronavirus tests and 35,839 in the last 24 hours. 482,771 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,362 patients are in critical condition.
