ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus second wave is still continue and 53 new deaths were reported round the country besides 2,272 people were tested positive during last 24 hours.
Coronavirus Variant also started taking toll as many victims of this new version of deadly virus have been found in Pakistan. National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) confirmed that reports of many people were seen positive to this disease in Karachi among people coming from Britain.
During last 24 hours Pakistan reported 53 new deaths nationwide and 2,272 people were tested positive for COVID-19.
2,272 new coronavirus epidemic infections were reported in last 24 hours and 53 new deaths have been confirmed. With 2,272 new infections reported in the country the toll surged to 486,634 cases and with 53 more deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 10,311 deaths on Sunday.
According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC on Sunday confirmed the death of 53 more people during last 24 hours besies reported that 2,272 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Sindh with 217,636 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
So far 217,636 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 140,188 in Punjab 59,255 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 38,146 in Islamabad, 18,218 in Balochistan, 8,325 in Azad Kashmir and 4,866 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 10,311 out of that 4,109 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,594 in Sindh, 1,672 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 424 in Islamabad, 226 in Azad Kashmir, 185 in Balochistan, and 101 in Gilgit Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 6,819,699 coronavirus tests and 44,392 in the last 24 hours. 440,660 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,784 patients are in critical condition.
