ISLAMABAD: Second wave of coronavirus pendemic is continue and flacuation witnessed in daily death toll and surged in infections created alarming situation in the country.
During last 24 hours COVID-19 claimed 63 more lives across the Pakistan while 1,776 people were tested positive to coronavirus pandemic.
New coronavirus pandemic infections were reported 1,776 in last 24 hours and 63 new deaths have been confirmed on Tuesday. With 1,776 new infections reported in the country the toll surged to 475,085 cases and with 63 more deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 9,992 deaths on Tuesday.
According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC on Sunday confirmed the death of 63 more people during last 24 hours besies reported that 1,776 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Sindh with 212,093 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
So far 212,093 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 136,669 in Punjab 57,746 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 37,390 in Islamabad, 18,099 in Balochistan, 8,235 in Azad Kashmir and 4,853 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 9,992 out of that 3,959 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,502 in Sindh, 1,617 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 412 in Islamabad, 219 in Azad Kashmir, 182 in Balochistan, and 101 in Gilgit Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 6,619,983 coronavirus tests and 30,666 in the last 24 hours. 425,494 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,259 patients are in critical condition.
