LAHORE : Director General (DG) Anti Corruption Muhammad Gohar Nafees has said that corruption, negligence from duty and misuse of power is not acceptable and officers of Anti Corruption Establishment should adopt zero tolerance policy against corrupt elements and don’t allow any type of compromises while investigation against the corrupt people.
He said, “My office is always open for common people they should come forward and indicate the corrupt elements of the society. Strict action should be taken against those who involved in corruption.”
The DG Anti Corruption stated this while addressing the officers in a meeting held at Anti Corruption Establishment Headquarter Lahore on Saturday. All directors and deputy directors of Anti Corruption Establishment headquarter office participated the meeting.
Nafees Gohar said that corruption is a curse which is spoiling the roots of the society and destroying the social and economic structure of the country. It also affects the progress and prosperity of the country. It is, therefore, our soul duty to do our best efforts to eradicate this evil.
He directed the officers of the Anti Corruption Establishment to adopt zero tolerance policy against corrupt elements. Officers should perform their duty within the limits of law and do investigation on the principles of merit and don’t accept any type of external pressure, he advised.
The DG Anti Corruption said that his office is open for common people and they should identify the corrupt elements. Strict and ruthless action should be taken against those who will ruin the prosperity and development of the country for their personal benefits, he added.
Nafees Gohar said that we all are struggling to make Pakistan a developed, prosperous and corruption free country.
All directors of Anti Corruption Establishment Headquarter briefed the DG regarding performance and problems of their sections in the meeting and he assured to resolve their problems.(INP)
