KOHAT: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTIP) Chairman Pervez Khattak on Saturday took a jibe at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman.
Addressing a public gathering in Kohat, Khattak said, “The country is witnessing a spectacle. The country has been plundered for the last 35 years. The country had been harmed due to the corruption”.
He was of the view that there was a dire need to maintain peace in a bid to lead the country towards development.
Khattak said, “Why did I earn from whichever party I joined? I want to see the country’s prosperity. We brought about reforms during our tenure. We had completed many projects pertaining to power and infrastructure.”
“We had facilitated the medical treatment for every family up to Rs 10 million,” he added.
Comparing the country’s growth with neighbouring India, Khattak said, “Both Pakistan and India gained independence in the same month. But India surpassed Pakistan in terms of growth.”
