ISLAMABAD: Country currently has 3,800 Ventilators and the number of the essential medical equipment will increased after the country receive 500 new ventilators.
National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Chairman Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal on Monday told the Law Makers that Pakistan had 3,800 ventilators and the number increased on April 5 after the country will receive 500 new ventilators.
The NDMA chairman, told the parliamentary committee, that 2,000 more ventilators will be imported from China. He added that the provinces have been given 29,000 protective kits to distribute among the doctors.
The meeting of the parliamentary committee on coronavirus was chaired by National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser and includes MNAs from all political parties.
