ISLAMABAD: Country registers an increase of thirty-one percent in remittances in the first two months of current fiscal year as compared to the same period of last year.
Prime Minister Imran Khan wrote on the twitter the latest figures of the increase in the remittances for the Month of August.
Overseas Pakistanis sent $2,095 million in remittances in Aug 2020 — 24.4% higher than Aug. last year — in addition to the record $2,768 million in July 2020. For the first two months of this fiscal year our remittances are up 31% over the same period last year. Alhamdulillah

In a tweet on Monday, he said overseas Pakistanis sent 2,095 million dollars in remittances in the month of August this year which is 24.4 percent higher than the corresponding period last year.
He said the country received record 2,768 million dollars in remittances in the month of July this year
Earlier today, PM took Twitter to welcome the students back to school from Tuesday as government announced to open the educational institutions closed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has said it is our priority and collective responsibility to ensure that every child can go to school safely to learn.
In a tweet on Monday, he said tomorrow we will welcome millions of children back to school.
He said the government has worked to ensure that school operations are aligned with public health safety rules on COVID-19.
On Sept 7, Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood had announced that educational institutions will reopen in phases from September 15 with universities and colleges setting the course for schools to reopen later.
Classes six, seven and eight, will follow suit a week into the reopening from September 23. He said if all things operate swiftly for 15 days, then all the educational institutions will be reopened.
The SOP’s were issued by the respective provincial governments for the educational institutions and it is directed to ensure proper implementation of these Standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
