ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus fourth wave, Pakistan has reported 79 new deaths during last 24 hours besides 4,619 people were tested positive to deadly virus.
Another 79 people have died from coronavirus in Pakistan and 4,619 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.
The latest figures appeared on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) on Friday morning showed that 4,619 people were tested positive across the country while 79 more people have lost their lives last one day.
NCOC reported that in last 24 hours 59,504 COVD-19 tests were conducted across the country out of which 4,619 came back positive. That makes the positivity rate is 7.76 per cent.
The total number of deaths from coronavirus in the country has reached 24,266 and the total number of positive cases has reached 1,089,913, out of them 979,411 people have recovered.
Apart from this, NCOC data showed that 3,937 patients have recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours across the country, bringing the total number of recoveries to 979,411 while the number of active cases is 86,236.
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The tally of fatalities surged to 24,266 acros the country out of which 11,307 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 6,355 in Sindh, 4,624 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 827 in Islamabad, 660 in Azad Kashmir, 332 in Balochistan, and 161 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The toll of positive cases around Pakistan jumped to 1,089,913 out of which 407,892 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 369,358 in Punjab, 150,708 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 92,768 in Islamabad, 31,396 in Balochistan, 28,654 in Azad Kashmir and 9,137 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 16,735,031 coronavirus tests and 59,504 in the last 24 hours. 979,411 patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,656 patients are in critical condition.
