ISLAMABAD: COVID-19 claimed 135 more lives across the Pakistan and 2,566 more people were tested positive of deadly virus on Tuesday.
Authorities and health experts are time and again asking people to ensure the implementation on SOPs so that the disease can be controlled.
The Government functionaris on Tuesday have confirmed 135 new deaths and 2,566 more people were tested positive. 2,566 new coronavirus cases took the toll of infections to 882,928 cases. During last 24 hours 135 new deaths were reported that took the toll of fatalities to 19,752.
According to latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC conducted 29,801 COVID-19 tests across Pakistan on Tuesday out of them 2,566 were tested positive.
The coronavirus positivity ratio in Pakistan stands at 7.93% as on Tuesday. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the country is 78,959, while 795,511 people have recovered from the virus so far and 4,361 werereported to be in critical condition.
Punjab remained the worst hit province during this month as positivity rate of the province was witnessed over 10 per cent in some parts while the toll of infections reached to 328,775 in the province. Sindh has reported 299,913 overall coronavirus epidemic infections, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
The new cases have taken the national tally of positive cases to 882,928 with 328,775 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 299,913 in Sindh, 127,038 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 79,371 in Islamabad, 23,931 in Balochistan, 18,286 in Azad Kashmir and 5,428 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide till of deaths surged to 19,752 out of that 9,500 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,824 in Sindh, 3,804 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 733 in Islamabad, 517 in Azad Kashmir, 267 in Balochistan, and 107 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
So far till TuesdayPakistan has so far conducted 12,510,568 coronavirus tests and 29,801 in the last 24 hours. 795,511 patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,361 patients are in critical condition.
