ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus pandemic has claimed 56 more lives across Pakistan during last 24 hours while 1,239 more people were tested positive to virus.
The Government functionaris on Sunday have confirmed 56 new deaths and 1,239 more people were tested positive. 1,239 new coronavirus cases took the toll of infections to 941,170 cases. During last 24 hours 56 new deaths were reported that took the toll of fatalities to 21,689.
According to latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC conducted 14 million tests so far while 36,368 COVID-19 tests across conducted across Pakistan on Wednesday out of them 1,239 were tested positive.
The coronavirus positivity ratio in Pakistan stands at 3.42 per cent as on Sunday. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the country is 78,959, while 877,191 people have recovered from the virus so far and 2,661 were reported to be in critical condition.
Punjab remained the worst hit province as the toll of infections reached to 343,926 in the province. Sindh has reported 327,604 overall coronavirus epidemic infections, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
The new cases have taken the national tally of positive cases to 941,170 with 343,926 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 327,604 in Sindh, 135,877in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,099 in Islamabad, 26,201 in Balochistan, 19,756 in Azad Kashmir and 5,707 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide till of deaths surged to 21,689 out of that 10,501 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,236 in Sindh, 4,216 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 771 in Islamabad, 563 in Azad Kashmir, 294 in Balochistan, and 108 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
So far till Sunday morning Pakistan has so far conducted 13,818,036 coronavirus tests and 36,368 in the last 24 hours. 877,191 patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,661 patients are in critical condition.
