ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus pandemic has claimed seven more lives besides 566 more people were tested positive across the country during last 24 hours.
With the 566 new coronavirus cases confirmed during last 24 hours, the toll of COVID-19 cases surged to 309,581 while with seven new deaths were confirmed the nation-wide tally of fatalities has jumped to 6,451.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) has confirmed that 566 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours and seven more people have lost their lives to COVID-19 in the country.
According to figures released on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the NCOC at 11:00am on Saturday, September 26, the toll of coronavirus positive cases reached to 309,581 and Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of infections with 135,488 cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
The figure shows that 135,488 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 98,941 in Punjab, 37,588 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 14,932 in Balochistan, 16,367 in Islamabad, 3,635 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 2,630 in Azad Kashmir.
As far the death toll in concerned the figures shows overall 6,451 deaths were reported in the country as Sindh crossed the toll of deaths in Punjab. 2,481 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in the province, 2,229 in Punjab, 1,259 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 145 in Balochistan, 181 in Islamabad, 85 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 71 in Azad Kashmir.
Pakistan has so far conducted 3,384,186 coronavirus tests and 40,167 in last 24 hours. 295,333 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 576 patients are in critical condition.
