COVID-19 infections in Pakistan jumps 22,823; death toll jumps to 526

ISLAMABAD: COVID-19 pandemic infections in Pakistan reached to 22,823 as 1,049 new cases were reported during last 24 hours country-wide. Death toll crossed the 526 mark with 40 fatalities were confirmed during last 24 hours.

The figure of the people who have defeated the deadly virus all over Pakistan and recovered was 6,217 so far.

As per the figure given on Coronavirus Dashboard by the National Command and Operation Center in its province-wise break up at 11:30am on May 06, Wednesday, was total 22,823 after new cases were confirmed. Punjab remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic, followed by Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Province-wise break up shows the figure of 8,693 of coronavirus cases were confirmed in Punjab province followed by 8,189 infections of coronavirus pandemic in Sindh. The infections confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3,499, in Balochistan toll surged to figure of confirmed cases 1,495, 386 was figure in Gilgit-Baltistan, 485 in Islamabad Capital Territory and 76 in Azad Jammu Kashmir.

The figure given by Coronavirus Dashboard in its province-wise break up at 11:30am on May 06, Wednesday, total deaths reported in the country were 526 after 40 more fatalities were reported round the country. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is on top of the fatalities list with 194 deaths while Punjab at number 2 with 156 deaths, Sindh stands with 148, Balochistan 21, Gilgit-Baltistan 3 and Islamabad Capital Territory 4.
