ISLAMABAD: Pakistan during the COVID-19 Second Wave has reported 31 new deaths and 1,508 people were reported positive duing last 24 hours.
During last 24 hours 31 more people have lost lives to COVID-19 and 1,508 more people were tested positive to the virus round the Pakistan on Thursday.
Nationwide infections toll reported on Saturday was 1,508 to coronavirus epidemic besides 31 more deaths were confirmed. With 1,508 new infections reported in the country that took the toll to 550,540 cases and with 31 new deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 11,833.
According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 31 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 1,508 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Sindh with 248,919 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
So far across the country 248,919 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 159,311 in Punjab 67,803 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 41,655 in Islamabad, 18,840 in Balochistan, 9,100 in Azad Kashmir and 4,912 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 11,833 out of that 4,821 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,036 in Sindh, 1,931 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 478 in Islamabad, 269 in Azad Kashmir, 196 in Balochistan, and 102 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 8,085,427 coronavirus tests and 35,460 in the last 24 hours. 505,818 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,971 patients are in critical condition.
