COVID-19 Second Wave; Pakistan reports 58 new deaths, 1,262 people tested positive

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan during the COVID-19 Second Wave has reported 58 new deaths and 1,262 people were tested positive of Virus during last 24 hours.

During last 24 hours 58 more people have lost lives to COVID-19 and 1,262 more people were tested positive to the virus round the Pakistan on Saturday.

Nationwide infections toll reported on Saturday was 1,262 to coronavirus epidemic besides 58 more deaths were confirmed. With 1,262 new infections reported in the country that took the toll to 561,625 cases and with 33 new deaths the toll of fatalities jumped to 12,276.

According to the latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 58 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 1,262 persons tested positive for COVID-19.

Sindh with 253,090 overall COVID-19 cases remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.

So far across the country 253,090 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 163,367 in Punjab 69,386 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 42,513 in Islamabad, 18,924 in Balochistan, 9,408 in Azad Kashmir and 4,937 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 12,276 out of that 5,026 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,199 in Sindh, 1,986 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 484 in Islamabad, 281 in Azad Kashmir, 197 in Balochistan, and 102 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 8,399,623 coronavirus tests and 37,115 in the last 24 hours. 523,700 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,692 patients are in critical condition.
