ISLAMABAD: COVID-19 has started to wreak a havoc in Pakistan due lack of planning and commitment at Government level and no awareness in masses of killer disease. The figure given on National Coronavirus Dashboard show that Pakistan witnessed another worst day after reporting 6,397 new cases the highest toll of COVID-19 infections along with 107 new deaths in last 24 hours.
With 6,397 new cases reported in last 24 hours the toll of infections jumped to 119,536 cases while the death toll with 101 new deaths surged to 2,356.
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), has confirmed 125.933 coronavirus infections in the country as well it reported 2,463 deaths due to COVID-19. Two provinces of the country are about to cross the 50,000 mark of infections including Punjab 47,382 and Sindh 46,828 infections, which rang a;arm for the policy planners of the country.
According to province break-up given on National Coronavirus Dashboard of NCOC Punjab is at top of the list as worst-hit province by the coronavirus pandemic with 47,382 confirmed cases the highest number along with 890 fatalities, followed by Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 809,169 coronavirus tests and 28,344 in last 24 hours. 40,247 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas many are in critical condition. Coronavirus epidemic patients are under treatment at quarantine centers of 462 hospitals where 7,295 beds are available.
According to latest figure displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of NCOC on June 12, Friday 10:00am, the province-wise break up after confirming the toll of 125,933 infections show that Punjab is at top of the infections list with 47,382 coronavirus cases followed by Sindh with.46,828 infections of the COVID-19 pandemic. The infections confirmed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have crossed 15,878 confirmed infections, in Balochistan toll surged to 7,673, Gilgit-Baltistan reached to the toll of 1,030 infections, Islamabad Capital Territory reached to 6,699 and 534 infection reported in Azad Jammu Kashmir.

Punjab is at top of the list of confirmed deaths with 890 as Sindh with 776 deaths at number two. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa death toll surged to 632 and the province has shown a little decline in fatalities. Balochistan 75 Gilgit-Baltisan 15, Islamabad Capital Territory 65 and AJK 10.
