Despite restrictions, lockdown and government’s orders of closure shops in time and ensure implementation of Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs), Coronavirus pandemic is taking new spike across country.
On Saturday morning the country has reported 112 new deaths by COVID-19 pandemic that took the toll of fatalities to 16,094, while 4,976 more people were tested positive taking the tally to 750,158 round the Pakistan.
According to latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 112 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 4,976 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Punjab have been declared worst hit province during this month as positivity rate of the province was witnessed over 11 per cent in some parts. Sindh has reported 271,524 overall coronavirus epidemic infections remained the worst-hit province of the country in terms of cases followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
So far across the country 271,524 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 264,010 in Punjab, 104,480 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 68,906 in Islamabad, 20,760 in Balochistan, 15,304 in Azad Kashmir and 5,174 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 15,094 out of that 7,333 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,544 in Sindh, 2,832 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 631 in Islamabad, 428 in Azad Kashmir, 223 in Balochistan, and 103 in Gilgit Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 11,072,531 coronavirus tests and 65,279 in the last 24 hours. 654,956 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,149 patients are in critical condition.
