ISLAMABAD: Coronavirus third wave continues to claim more lives in Pakistan as during last 24 hours 146 new deaths were reported besides 4,696 people have been tested positive to pandemic.
Authorities on Federal and Provincial level are asking people to follow the COVID-19 SOPs to avoid the consequences as country is lacking proper facilities. Hospitals are reaching to their capacity and there is only option left that people follow SOPs strictly or the Government impose curfew, authorities warned.

The authorities on Saturday have reported 146 new deaths in last 24 hours while the virus as 4,696 more people were tested positive that took the tally to 825,519 cases. With new reported deaths toll of fatalities reaches to 17,957.
According to latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 146 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 4,696 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Punjab have been declared worst hit province during this month as positivity rate of the province was witnessed over 11 per cent in some parts while the toll of infections reached to 303,182 in the province. Sindh has reported 283,560 overall coronavirus epidemic infections, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
The new cases have taken the national tally of positive cases to 825,519 with 303,182 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 283,560 in Sindh, 118,413 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 22,369 in Balochistan, 75,498 in Islamabad, 17,187 in Azad Kashmir and 5,310 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 17,957 out of that 8,500 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 4,645 in Sindh, 3,310 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 236 in Balochistan, 683 in Islamabad, 476 in Azad Kashmir and 107 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 11,836,866 coronavirus tests and 48,740 in the last 24 hours. 717,009 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 5,490 patients are in critical condition.
