ISLAMABAD: Coronavorus third wave continue to take toll as during last 24 hours Pakistan has reported 5,364 new positive cases across country and 110 new deaths were also reported.
Despite restrictions on implementation of Standar Operational Procedures (SOPs) and imposition of smart lockdown, the Coronavirus pandemic is taking new spike across country as during last 24 hours country reported 110 deaths, while 5,364 more people were tested positive.
On Friday morning the country has reported 110 new deaths by COVID-19 pandemic that took the toll of fatalities to 15,982, while 5,364 more people were tested positive taking the tally to 745,182 round the Pakistan.
According to latest figures displayed on National Coronavirus Dashboard of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the NCOC confirmed the death of 110 more people during last 24 hours besides reported that 5,364 persons tested positive for COVID-19.
Punjab have been declared worst hit province during this month as positivity rate of the province was witnessed over 11 per cent in some parts. Sindh has reported 270,963 overall coronavirus epidemic infections remained the worst-hit province of the country in terms of cases followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
So far across the country 270,963 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 261,173 in Punjab, 103,419 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 20,662 in Balochistan, 68,665 in Islamabad, 15,137 in Azad Kashmir and 5,163 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Nationwide tally of fatalities remains 15,982 out of that 7,271 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 4,541 in Sindh, 2,796 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 222 in Balochistan, 626 in Islamabad, 423 in Azad Kashmir and 103 in Gilgit Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 11,007,252 coronavirus tests and 64,481 in the last 24 hours. 650,775 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,302 patients are in critical condition.
