Crystal meth, heroin recovered from Saudi-bound woman

ISLAMABAD: Crystal meth and heroin was recovered from a woman bound to go Saudi Arabia at Islamabad International Airport in the bid three people were arrested by Anti Narcotics Force (ANF).

The Airport Security Force (ASF) foiled a smuggling bid at Islamabad International Airport (IIAP), sources said, adding that at least three people were arrested.

The sources explained that a woman carrying 0.85 kilos worth of crystal methamphetamine, more popularly known by its street name, ice, as well as heroin, was arrested alongside her father and son. They were traveling to Saudi Arabia.

The woman, identified as Rubina Bibi, was traveling to the Kingdom in a private airline but was stopped at the joint searching counter. The crystal meth and other contraband was recovered from her purse. Geo News reported.

The ANF has started legal proceedings against all three arrestees, sources added.
