ISLAMABAD: Death toll by coronavirus epidemic jumps to 86 round the country as new fatalities were reported in Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab while the tally of confirmed COVID-19 infections reaches to 5,077 on Sunday after new infections were confirmed from all over Pakistan.
After Health authorities have confirmed infections are increasing rapidly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh, nation-wide coronavirus tally shot up from 4,612 to 5,077 on Sunday morning.
The province-wise break up of coronavirus infections given by the National Health Authorities Coronavirus dashboard at 12:50pm, April 12, Sunday, is as total number of confirmed infections was 5,077, with Punjab 2,464, Sindh 1,318, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 697, Gilgit-Baltistan 216, Balochistan 228, Islamabad Capital Territory 119 and AJK 35.

The provinces have formulated their recommendations regarding the next step being taken for the coronavirus and will present it to the centre tomorrow at the National Coordination Committee.
Sources have said Punjab government will recommend the opening of some industries after complying with safety precautions. While Sindh has decided to recommend strict lockdown measures.
Sources have said that the NCC will decide on further action after developing a consensus.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said 755 zaireen, including those 175 who tested positive earlier have returned to their homes after full recovery.
“Only 74 Zaireen left in Dera Ghazi Khan quarantine who are being looked after in the best possible manner,” Buzdar said in a tweet.
