Death toll in Pakistan by COVID-19 rises to 292; infections surge to 13,909

ISLAMABAD: Death toll in Pakistan was reported 292 from novel coronavirus while the total number of cases of infections has surged to 13,909. Total 3,029 persons suffering from the deadly virus have been recovered so far.

According to figure given by Coronavirus Dashboard in its province-wise break up at 5:30pm on April 27, Monday total 13,909 was total number of confirmed infections with 5,526 patients have been tested positive for the epidemic in Punjab, 4,996 in Sindh, 1,984 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 781 in Balochistan, 320 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 245 in Islamabad and 59 in Azad Kashmir. So far, 3,029 patients have recovered in the country.

Figure given by Coronavirus Dashboard in its province-wise break up at 5:30pm on April 27, Monday total deaths were reported in the country were 292 and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa became first province crosses the 102 mark, followed by Punjab with 84, Sindh with 85, Balochistan 11, Gilgit-Baltistan 3, Islamabad Capital Territory 7.

Meanwhile, Federal government extended the countrywide lockdown for the next two weeks citing fears of spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
