ISLAMABAD: Death toll due to coronavirus pandemic surged to 35 country-wide as new deaths were confirmed from Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan. The confirmed infections across the country were 2,441 on Friday morning .
The Authorities in Pakistan have confirmed 35 deaths all over Pakistan with a province-wise break up of the total number of deaths due to coronavirus disease issued by national dashboard at 8:30am on April 03 Friday shows Punjab and Sindh 11 deaths each, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 9, Gilgit Baltistan 3 and Balochistan 1.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in Pakistan jumped to 2,441 after new cases were reported almost all over country.
The province-wise break up given by the authorities regarding total number of infections confirmed at 8:30am April 03 Friday. Total number of confirmed cases reported were 2,441 with toll in Punjab jumped to 920, Sindh 783, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 311, Balochistan 169, Gilgit-Baltistan 187, Islamabad Capital Territory 62 and AJK 9.
Punjab Government has confirmed that the coronavirus cases havejumped to 920. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, while giving the update of the COVID-19 said that there are now 920 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Punjab.
Giving a break up the chief minister said that the confirmed COVID-19 cases in Punjab are 920, out of them Dera Ghazi Khan quarantine has 213, Multan 91, Raiwind 142 and Faisalabad has 5. We have lost 11 precious lives whereas, 5 people recovered.

Sindh police chief warns citizens to remain indoors from 12pm-3pm on Friday. Ghulam Nabi Memon, IGP Sindh has warned all citizens to remain inside their homes from 12pm-3pm on Friday. “Whoever steps outside will be turned back home,” he said, adding: “If anyone resists, they will be dealt with strictly.”
Memon has vowed that the government orders for a strict lockdown during those hours will be enforced to the letter.
The worldwide number of officially confirmed fatalities from the novel coronavirus rose to 52,000 on Friday. More than 1 million declared cases have been registered in 200 countries and territories since the epidemic first emerged in China in December. Of these cases, at least 182,700 are now considered recovered.
