DI KHAN: The district administration of Dera Ismail Khan launched its crackdown on encroachments to ensure smooth traffic flow and maintain road clearance, providing citizens with a safe and orderly travel environment.
The operation was led by Assistant Commissioner Dera, Syed Arsalan, on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan with the support of DSP Traffic, the Tehsil Municipal Officer and the relevant revenue staff.
During the operation, both permanent and temporary encroachments including sheds, tandoors, hotel extensions and other unauthorised structures were completely removed to restore the original width of the roads.
A major anti-encroachment operation was carried out at Qureshi Morr, Bhakkar Road and Multan Road.
According to the district administration, the campaign aims to improve public convenience, ensure smooth traffic flow and maintain road clearance to provide citizens with a safe and orderly travel environment.
Shopkeepers and traders have been strictly instructed to remove all permanent and temporary encroachments voluntarily; otherwise, legal action will be taken against violators.
The administration has reaffirmed that the anti-encroachment campaign will continue in the coming days as part of efforts to maintain civic order in the district.
