DIB Pakistan hosts indoor rowing event at International Inter-School Regatta in Karachi

KARACHI: The 18th International Inter-School Annual Rowing Regatta featured an indoor rowing competition hosted by DIB Pakistan, with winners receiving medals at a concluding ceremony.

The indoor racing event gathered multiple athletes, challenging their endurance, strength and technique, while serving as an inclusive and lively complement to the on-water races.

Winners were awarded medals by Muhammad Ali Gulfaraz, CEO DIB, acknowledging both competitive excellence and the commitment demonstrated by participants throughout the event.

Speaking at the ceremony, Muhammad Ali Gulfaraz emphasised the importance of providing structured platforms that encourage youth participation in sport and reinforce healthy habits from an early age.

“Events like the indoor rowing competition reflect the power of sport to bring young people together in an environment that rewards effort, discipline and perseverance,” he said.

The Regatta brings together more than 600 student athletes from over 25 schools, universities and clubs from Pakistan and abroad, fostering cross-cultural exchange and international sporting camaraderie while it continues to strengthen Pakistan’s presence on the regional and global rowing calendar.
