Two significant figures, Dr. Arif Alvi, former President, and real estate tycoon Malik Riaz, have recently made statements on X. Coincidentally, I have a close relationship with both. I served as Dr. Alvi’s Press Secretary and Media Advisor for ten months and had a close association with Malik Riaz during my time as Director of Media at Bilawal House in Lahore.
Both individuals, known for their commitment, wisdom, leadership, innovation, and managerial prowess, have called for divine intervention in their recent statements. Perhaps influenced by their age, extensive worldly experience, and deep religious beliefs, they have prioritized truth and righteousness over worldly gains, advocating what they believe is best for Pakistan and its people.
President Alvi, having led all three pillars of the state and being the supreme commander of the armed forces, emphasizes that solutions to the country’s challenges lie beyond mere worldly power dynamics. He warns against divine retribution for those allegedly abusing power, unleashing terror on the innocent. His bold tweets challenge those who wield illegitimate power, cautioning them against the inevitable consequences of their actions.
Addressing the alleged supra executive and those occupying positions of power through questionable means, President Alvi’s statement serves as a stark warning. He predicts dire consequences for those who manipulate elections and impose illegitimate governments. While acknowledging the potential collateral damage, he remains steadfast in his belief that justice will prevail.
Malik Riaz, renowned for his real estate ventures and philanthropic endeavors, also invokes divine guidance in his statement. He pledges to uphold his principles with divine assistance, refusing to be swayed by political pressures. Despite facing immense challenges, he stands firm, vowing to resist coercion and political manipulation.
Both statements underscore the need for moral and spiritual rectification in Pakistan’s governance. They caution against the abuse of power and emphasize the importance of upholding truth and righteousness. By appealing to divine will, Dr. Alvi and Malik Riaz position themselves as moral leaders, challenging the legitimacy of those perceived as oppressors.
These statements serve as a wake-up call for both the supra executive and civilian government, urging them to heed the warnings and address the underlying moral and spiritual issues plaguing the nation. As Pakistan navigates its challenges, the guidance of leaders who prioritize justice and righteousness can lead the country towards a brighter future.
