DPM Dar Denies Pakistan Threatened Nuclear Action Against Israel

Ishaq Dar - The News Today - TNT

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed Pakistan’s defense readiness and nuclear capabilities amid rising tensions in the region, declaring that any hostile move against Pakistan will be met with a strong and immediate response.

Addressing the Senate, the Foreign Minister revealed, “Anyone who looks at Pakistan with an evil eye will have their eye gouged out. The Pakistani nation is united, and a brick thrown at us will be answered with a stone. We remain on high alert.”

He emphasized that Pakistan’s nuclear program is a national asset and a trust for future generations, and that the entire nation stands committed to its protection. “Allah Almighty has blessed Pakistan with nuclear and missile power, which serves not only our defense but also the stability of the region,” he added.

Dar condemned the recent attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, calling them “criminal acts” that must be avoided in the interest of regional peace.

Referring to India, he claimed that India’s aggressive ambitions had been thwarted, saying, “India came to its senses after facing consequences and reached out to the United States for a ceasefire.”

He also strongly rejected rumours of Pakistan threatening nuclear action against Israel, labeling them as “fake news.” Dar pointed out that false reports were even published in British media, and highlighted a resurfaced 2011 interview of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu as part of a wave of misinformation since June 13.

“War is not a joke or child’s play — it’s a grave matter,” he stressed, and added, “We must be cautious of misleading narratives and continue to correct the record regarding fake news.”

On diplomatic engagement, Dar said that foreign ministers of Iran and Oman remained in close contact with him throughout recent developments, with the Iranian foreign minister maintaining ongoing communication during negotiations.

He concluded by noting that Pakistan played a constructive role in the recent UN Security Council session, for which Iran expressed its gratitude.
