ISLAMABAD: The Public Relations Association of Pakistan (PRAP) has lauded the appointment of Dr. Bakht Rawan as the new Chairman of the Mass Communication Department at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), calling it a potentially transformative moment for media and public relations education in the country.

In a congratulatory message released on Sunday, PRAP President Muhammad Arshad commended Dr. Rawan’s decades of dedication to academia, journalism, and research, describing his new role as a “turning point for the academic and professional PR landscape in Pakistan.”

“Dr. Bakht Rawan’s vast experience and commitment to the media sector have earned him immense respect across both academic and professional circles,” Arshad stated. “His leadership is expected to usher in a new era of excellence, innovation, and practical engagement at AIOU’s Mass Communication Department.”
