ISLAMABAD: The Public Relations Association of Pakistan (PRAP) has lauded the appointment of Dr. Bakht Rawan as the new Chairman of the Mass Communication Department at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), calling it a potentially transformative moment for media and public relations education in the country.
In a congratulatory message released on Sunday, PRAP President Muhammad Arshad commended Dr. Rawan’s decades of dedication to academia, journalism, and research, describing his new role as a “turning point for the academic and professional PR landscape in Pakistan.”

Founded in 1986, AIOU’s Department of Mass Communication has long been recognized as a cornerstone of media education in Pakistan, producing graduates who have made significant contributions on national and international platforms.
