Barrister Sultan briefs speaker about PTI's preparedness for upcoming Azad Jammu Kashmir polls

ISLAMABAD: The economic situation of Pakistan has massively improved and now the country is on the path of an economic turnaround and rapid progress, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser claimed.

Talking to former Prime Minister and President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PTI-AJK) Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, Asad Qaiser Khan reiterated Pakistan’s stance that no dialogue between India and Pakistan can be successful until all outstanding issues in the region, particularly Kashmir dispute, is resolved according to the relevant UNSC resolutions and wishes of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Federal Minister Omar Ayub Khan was also present during the meeting. The Speaker assured that he would convene a meeting of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority in the next few days to provide relief to the people of Azad Kashmir and to alleviate their hardships.

Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry briefed the speaker about the current political situation and the PTI preparedness of the upcoming elections in Azad Kashmir. He said PTI has made significant inroads in the regional political arena and several stalwarts have joined the party in recent months.

Barrister Sultan said that the public trend in Azad Kashmir is in the favor of PTI and the party is gaining massive public support.

Barrister Sultan hoped that PTI will have a comfortable majority in the upcoming AJK legislative assembly elections due in July this year.
