ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission (ECP) on Monday asked the Printing Corporation of Pakistan (PCP) to print 250 million ballot papers for February 8 polls.
The Election Watchdog approved printing of ballot papers for upcoming general elections in its meeting held today. The ballot papers would bear its watermark.
The ECP officials said that the ballot papers would be printed at three different machines. Strict security measures have been ordered of the Printing Corporation premises during the printing of the ballot papers, they added.
It may be recalled that watermarked ballot papers were first used in the country during 2018 general elections.
In anticipation of the upcoming general elections, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is all set to print approximately 250 million watermarked ballot papers.
