ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Murtaza Solangi, has reaffirmed the commitment to fulfill all requirements of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), encompassing financial, administrative, and security aspects, to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections in the country.
In an interview with PTV, the minister emphasized that state media, including Radio Pakistan and PTV, were providing equal coverage to the electioneering of all political parties.
Murtaza Solangi further stated that special programs related to the forthcoming elections were being broadcast and aired by Radio Pakistan and PTV.
Being state broadcasters, the Radio Pakistan and PTV operate on the taxes of the people of Pakistan, he highlighted.
Therefore, they are dedicated to presenting impartial and neutral programs, refraining from showing any inclination towards a particular political party, he added.
Solangi underlining the extensive outreach of Radio Pakistan across the country, emphasized its potential to play a vital role in educating the public about general elections. — INP
