ISLAMABAD: The students of higher education, BS (Face-to-Face) M. Phil and PhD have been allowed to take admissions in Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) through online process.
This is the part of the University’s latest initiatives to shift its academic operation from manual to automation that aimed at bringing efficiency and transparency in the students’ related services and to improve quality of education.
The admissions in the higher education’s programs will be merit-based and selected applicants will be contacted through SMS/Email after short-listing for payment of first semester fee.
According to the Director Admissions, the ongoing admissions for the registration in the higher education’s programs will continue till August 19.
he Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Zia-Ul-Qayyum has announced that henceforth technology will be steering-force behind all the University’s operation both at the academic and services’ level.
In this connection, the University has already started implementing a 15-month road-map. He assured that the technology-based operation will be students’ friendly
It will also help to address certain apprehensions about of the working of this Mega educational institution that caters the educational needs of around 1.4 million people annually.
Addressing the regional directors’ conference, the Vice Chancellor hoped that the University’s regional offices and the Study Centers across.
The country will put their extra efforts in improving credibility and reputation of the University through digital transformation and capacity-building.
He advised them to strictly follow the academic calendar so that all the academic process,including mailing of books and examination could take place in time.
He announced that there will also be a paradigm shift in the appointment of tutors to improve the University’s teaching and learning system.(INP).
