ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday restored the membership of 24 more lawmakers after submission of assets’ details.
According to the ECP, the membership of 4 lawmakers of the National Assembly, 9 of Punjab Assembly and 5 of Sindh Assembly have been restored.
The Election Commission has also reinstated membership of five lawmakers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and a single member from Balochistan Assembly
Meanwhile, Assembly membership of as many as 230 lawmakers still remains suspended over failure to submit assets’ details, said Pakistan’s supreme electoral body.
