Anwar Mansoor Khan was of the view that he could not go against the objection raised of the Pakistan Bar Council. “I remained chairman of the Bar Council in the past, so I followed the demand of the Bar Council”, he added.

“There was no reason to include someone in my decision,” he said.

Anwar Mansoor Khan claimed that the government was aware of his statement in the Supreme Court. On the day that the statement was made, both Farogh Naseem and Shahzad Akbar were with me.

A new dispute would have been started if I had mentioned the name of someone else in regard to my statement.

He said that it was better to step back rather than raising a new issue. He said that I have put a curtain over the issue by giving nothing in the writing in my resignation.
