Ex-cricketer Abdul Qadir’s son arrested in alleged sexual assault case

Police said on Sunday that former cricketer Abdul Qadir’son has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a domestic worker.

According to police, the victim told authorities that ex-cricketer son Salman Qadir had called her on the phone, asking her to come to work earlier than usual. Police said that when she arrived at the main gate of a private housing society, the suspect allegedly forced her into his car and took her to his farmhouse, where the assault reportedly occurred.

He was taken into custody following a complaint filed by the 21-year-old victim, the First Information Report (FIR) was registered at Barki Police Station

SP Cantt Ikhlaqullah Tarar said the FIR was lodged after completing all legal formalities based on the victim’s statement and that further investigation is underway.

Authorities confirmed that the victim is receiving medical examinations and legal assistance, while all aspects of the case are being thoroughly reviewed.

The suspect will be presented in court once the investigation is completed.
