ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court of Islamabad on Friday issued a non-bailable warrant for Younis Qidwai in Fake Bank Accounts scam after he failed to appear before the court for a third consecutive time.
Accountability Court Judge Mohammad Bashir resumed hearing on a reference pertaining to Fake Accounts scam in which nine suspects are nominated including former Administrator Karachi Hussain Syed and close friend of Asif Ali Zardari, Younis Qidwai.
In the hearing, seven of nine accused appeared before court whereas Samiuddin and Younis Qidwai did not appear.The court adjourned hearing of the case till May 27, issuing a non-bailable warrant for former President Zardari’s friend.
It may be pertinent to mention that the suspects are accused of illegally allotting plots of welfare purposes in Sindh and damaging the national exchequer with hefty amount.
