LAHORE: Fire broke out late last night at a private cargo shed at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, but timely action prevented any loss of life.
According to the Pakistan Airports Authority, the incident occurred about one kilometer away from the airport’s apron area.

The sheds were immediately cordoned off while Rescue 1122 teams and Pakistan Air Force vehicles took part in the firefighting operation.
The airport manager, chief operating officer, and other officials were present on-site. Authorities confirmed that airport operations continued as normal during the incident.
