Five member team of APAC re-evaluates PNAC

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC) has been successfully re-evaluated by Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC) team comprised of five members from accreditation bodies of different economies, like Saudi Arabia, USA, Indonesia and Malaysia for continuation of Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) from February 10 to 14.

Five member APAC team was warmly welcomed by Ateeq-ur-Rehman Memon, Director General, PNAC.

Quality management system based on ISO/IEC 17011:2017 was presented to the team by Mr. Azhar Iqbal, Director / QMR in coordination with professional team of PNAC.

Peer evaluation team witnessed the competence of Team Leaders and Assessors onsite in different CABs at Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad and Hattar.

It was a 25 man-day activity and 07 Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) were witnessed, after evaluation Peer evaluation team recommended the PNAC for another 04 years for APAC MRA.

MRA status of PNAC is the back boon of economic growth as it directly supports the WTO regime and ultimately enhancement of trade.
