GAZA: Three more kids died in Gaza City on Tuesday, due to severe cold after Israel blocked temporary homes, the authorities revealed to media.
Saeed Salah, the director of the Patient’s Friends Benevolent Society in Gaza City has said that three more children have died due to the “severe cold” as Israel continues to bar the entry of temporary homes into the Palestinian enclave.
In a video posted on X, the doctor said there were other serious cases. “We appeal to the relevant authorities to provide caravans, camps, and fuel to provide warmth for people and protect children, especially with the arrival of a new low-pressure system,” he added.
In January, UNRWA said at least eight newborns had died of hypothermia in the Gaza Strip in one month alone.
