The second El-Clasico of the LaLiga Santander season will take place at 21:00 CET on Sunday, March 1 at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
That same week, Barcelona will take on Napoli in Italy on the Tuesday while Real Madrid will host Manchester City at the Bernabeu on the Wednesday in the second leg of their respective Champions League last-16 ties.
In order to make up for Barcelona having an extra day’s rest, albeit they have to play their Champions League match away from home, LaLiga have selected 21:00 CET on the Sunday in order to make things more even.
During the last El-Clasico, both teams have showed good football spirit but couldn’t find the net. Despite of the absence of Real Madrid X-Star Player Cristiano Ronaldo, RMA’s squad showed great performance but unforfunately couldn’t surpass the German Wall(Marc-Andre Ter Stegen).
Both team have the same points and if the point table stands like this, this fixture can be the result for LaLiga cup for the both teams.
Zinedine Zidane after taking charge of RMA, have shown the worth of managing the players and club. Inspite of getting critisized by the fans in the beginning, Zidane has won the Copa Del Rey recently and give the team a chance to win LaLiga cup.
On the other hand, Barcelona seams sloppy at the very moment. After losing the semi-final of Copa Del Rey, the board has sacked the manager(Ernesto Valverde) and has appointed Quique Setien
Quique Setien has managed 500 games in his managing career and has a winning percentage of 37.40%. but he has time to set things up with his new staff and players before the fixture.
Real Madrid is favorite to win this game because Zidane knows his player well and Setien needs time to understand his player and get along with them and to set his starting Xl. So, Real Madrid has an advantage to overcome Barcelona.
LaLiga president Javier Tebas confirmed this date and time at an event in London for the launch of LaLigaTV in the United Kingdom.
