Govt committed to cope with challenge of unemployment says Bukhari

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Syed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari said that the government is committed to cope with the challenge of unemployment in the country.

While addressing a conference in Islamabad he stated, “Unemployment is a social issue that leads to an increased sense of deprivation among youth and gives birth to different social evils, including terrorism.”

Bukhari said Prime Minister Imran Khan is fully focused on human resource development to harness the true potential of the young generation for the country’s development. Minimum funds were earmarked for the health and education sectors in the past.

He mentioned the need of technical and vocational training centers so that the skilled young people would be able to avail employment opportunities.

The government is also said to be concentrating on special economic zones which will also be helpful in creation of jobs within the country. He said foreign investment is also being attracted to make Pakistan a developed country.

Bukhari concluded by saying, “the promise of 100,000 jobs is going to become a reality now”, while inaugurating Visa Facilitation Center along with Qatari Ambassador to Pakistan Saqar bin Mubarak in Islamabad. (INP)
