ISLAMABAD: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Senator Sirajul Haq expressing concern over the haste of the government to get passed FATF related bills from the National Assembly has said that attempts are being made to tighten the yoke of slavery around the neck of Pakistani nation.
Talking to media persons outside Parliament House on Tuesday, he said present and formers rulers were showing restlessness to prove them the obedient servant of the international powers.
Siraj said it was unfortunate that no progress was made and no law was introduced in past two years to bring the nation out of prevailing poverty and introduce reforms in any sector but when it came to matter of international slavery, the government and so-called mainstream opposition parties rushed to show obedience.
Some members of the parliaments were on permanent payroll of imperialistic forces and let no occasion go to show their loyalty to them, he alleged.

The policies of Parvez Musharraf were still in force and laws were being made to please the international powers, he added.
He said that incumbent rulers same class who handed over Afghanistan Ambassador Abdus Salam Zaeef and Dr Afia to America. The PTI created the slogan of “change” only to deceive the masses, he added.
Siraj expressed regret over the day to day decline in the situation of a common man.
He said thousands lost their jobs in past two years and inflation made it impossible for a common man to earn single meal of a day.
Poverty and lawlessness were increasing with every day passing and every sector was reached on the verge of collapse, he said, adding people were no more ready to bear these rulers.
